Establishing and Managing The Practice of Institution-Wide WIL Within an Established Institution
CapU has embarked on the process of building institutional WIL capacity and systems through the development of an integrated WIL Hub that builds from existing resources to support further growth. This roundtable presentation focuses on the work of developing increased curricular WIL opportunities for students across all five faculties and our regional campus through synergies between the emergent CapU WIL Hub and City Studio North Vancouver. We explore and discuss how this model of WIL growth has supported CapU in driving the development of an integrated WIL landscape at CapU, and building curricular WIL capacity to better serve our students.
Key Learning Objectives:
Identifying key issues in moving from a decentralized to integrated or centralized institutional WIL model
Leveraging existing curricular WIL processes, opportunities and systems to develop institutional capacity
Identifying resources and systems needed for developing and sustaining institution-wide WIL practices.
