Employer Engagement Toolkit

The Applied Learning, Co-operative Education and Career Services department (CECS) at Camosun College is responsible for providing a wide-range of work-integrated learning opportunities and programs across the college.

To do this successfully requires continuously developing employer relationships and engaging in appropriate job development activities. Specifically, the regular and timely connection with business and industry to build the essential relationships that result in a plethora of co-op and WIL opportunities.

To deliver the intended volume of co-op and WIL opportunities and placements, Camosun hired a Business Development Specialist who created an Employer Engagement Toolkit comprised of a resource hub targeted to specific Camosun programs and their related industries, and trained the Employment Facilitators to the point where they could successfully maintain effective employer engagement and job development activities moving forward.
