Communicating the Power of WIL: Tools, Techniques and Structures for Success
The combined ACE-WIL External Relations and WIL Communications project kicked off with the creation of a BC WIL Communications Plan, with objectives to increase brand awareness, and a knowledge and understanding of WIL amongst employer, industry and community partners and key stakeholders. Key tactics within this plan included implementing an advertising campaign, developing branded materials to support workplace partners and practitioners, and pursuing opportunities to increase engagement with external audiences through an updated ACE-WIL website, social media, events and partnerships. As well, a key deliverable has been to develop legacy tools to assist ACE-WIL volunteers to continue implementing the plan over the longer term.
