We are excited to welcome you to the 2026 ACE-WIL × CACEE Conference, hosted at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC, from May 24 to 27, 2026.
Use this page to help you plan your arrival, get familiar with conference locations, review transportation and parking details, and prepare for your time in Kamloops. A full Know Before You Go package will also be shared with attendees before the conference, including at-a-glance schedules and additional resources.

Conference Program
The conference program is available online and will be updated as needed leading up to and during the conference. Attendees are encouraged to review the schedule in advance and check back regularly for session details, room locations, and any updates.

Driving From the Lower Mainland to Kamloops:
- Via Coquihalla Highway (Highway 5) – Fastest Route (approximately 3.5 – 4 hrs)
- Vancouver → Hope → Merritt → Kamloops
- Via Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1) – Scenic + Gradual Drive (approximately 4.5 – 5 hrs)
- Vancouver → Fraser Valley → Cache Creek → Kamloops
Driving from Calgary, AB:
- Via Trans-Canada (Highway 1) – Scenic + Gradual Drive (approximately 8 – 10 hrs)
- Calgary → Banff → Lake Louise → Revelstoke → Kamloops
Arriving via Kamloops Airport
There are a couple of easy options to get from the Kamloops Airport to your accommodations:

Please note that Uber is relatively new in Kamloops and is not always consistent in our community.

Thompson Rivers University (TRU)

All formal conference programming will take place on campus at TRU across our two on-campus venues: House of Learning (HOL) and Old Main (OM).
Breakfast and the Opening Ceremonies on Day 1 – Monday, May 25th – will be held in HOL 190. Breakfast begins at 7:30 am, with the official welcome kicking off at 8:30 am.
The remainder of the conference program (including the Pre-Conference Leadership Workshop on May 24th at 1:00 pm) will take place in OM on the 3rd floor (accessible by elevators and stairways).
Signage and a team of volunteers will be on-site to help you navigate campus throughout the conference. We have also included a campus map as a point of reference.

The Welcome Reception will take place from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Mason’s Kitchen & Bar at the Big Horn Golf & Country Club – Location: 1000 Clubhouse Drive, Kamloops, BC, V2H 1T9.
Following the reception, you will have the option to continue networking and connect with colleagues over dinner at one of three Dine Around Kamloops restaurants curated by Tourism Kamloops for conference attendees:
- Mason’s Kitchen & Bar
- The Noble Pig (walking distance to the Delta & Sandman Signature Hotel)
- Table Twelvefifty (located inside the Coast Hotel).
You will be able to pre-select your dining option via a form in next week’s Know Before You Go Package.
Day 1 Evening – Monday May 25th
The President’s Reception & Dinner will be hosted at the Coast Hotel. The reception will begin at 5:00 pm, with the evening program and dinner beginning at 6:00 pm.

We re pleased to provide complimentary shuttle service from all official conference accommodations to conference venues and activities.

If you are driving to campus, visitor parking is available in designated TRU lots:

We strongly recommend arriving early to allow time to find parking and walk to the appropriate conference venue.
