College WIL Student: Edward Chow

Justice Institute of British Columbia

About Edward Chow

Hello,
I am Edward Chow, a third-year student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in law enforcement at the Justice Institute of British Columbia. I have a strong interest in public safety and am passionate about developing my skills through both theoretical and practical means. In addition to my studies, I work at the Hastings Sunrise Community Policing Centre, where I have developed my communication and problem-solving skills. My career goal is to join law enforcement, and I am excited about the future opportunities that will help me to grow both personally and professionally.

Quote from Edward Chow

My WIL placement has contributed to my personal development by improving my confidence and professionalism. Working while learning allowed me to push myself to becoming an effective communicator and managing my responsibilities better. Through this I became more self-aware of my own faults and accepting criticism or feedback from others.
