Award Winners, Industry Partner of the Year |The Association for Co-operative Education and Work-Integrated Learning BC / Yukon is pleased to announce the recipients of the Co-op/WIL Industry Partner of the Year Awards. The Co-op award for 2025 recognizes ACE-WIL industry partners that have demonstrated a strong commitment to work integrated learning, through the support and hiring of Co-op students and/or have shown a high level of overall support of our association through specific partnerships.

Honourable Mention
Innovative Parts and Solutions Ltd. (IPS) has received an Honourable Mention for the 2025 Industry Partner of the Year (Co-op) Award in recognition of its exceptional commitment to inclusive, high-quality experiential learning.
IPS has demonstrated outstanding engagement with co-operative education through its partnership with BCIT’s Centre for Workplace Education. Over the past year, the organization has actively hired and supported students while contributing valuable employer perspectives that help strengthen the connection between industry and post-secondary education.
A particularly notable example of IPS’s leadership is its inclusive hiring practices. The company welcomed a deaf CNC Diploma co-op student as a Junior Machinist for an eight-month work term, creating a thoughtful onboarding process that included structured check-ins, clear communication strategies, and strong mentorship. Team members worked collaboratively to ensure safety and accessibility while fostering a workplace culture built on trust, respect, and shared responsibility.
During the placement, the student gained hands-on experience in CNC machining, quality control, and production processes, while also contributing to projects and process improvements that extended beyond a typical co-op role.
