Town Hall Banner

Hi reader, Let's Connect at the Town Hall on March 30th

Date: Tuesday, March 30, 12pm to 1pm
Location: Via Zoom through BCcampus

Connect with your WIL colleagues from across the province in a town hall, with icebreaker activities (involving cats and dogs!), breakout rooms for networking along with updates from ACE-WIL and across B.C.

It’s hard to believe it’s been a full year since our first town hall in March 2020. We were all scrambling as we found ourselves in the midst of a global pandemic. None of us could have anticipated how much our world would be changed forever, but one constant has been our strong WIL community. We’ve been able to share our struggles and victories and count on one another for support along the way. Let’s take some time to reconnect and look ahead together during our next town hall, hosted once again by our friends at BCcampus.

Here is a sneak peak at the agenda:
  • Welcome and ice-breaker
  • What’s new at ACE-WIL?
    • New resources
    • PD and events
  • Two breakout sessions for mingling and brainstorming together
  • Sharing your learnings
  • Plus, bring your questions!

More responses needed for the managing workplace discrimination survey!

As part of provincial project #118: ACE-WIL BC- EDI Resource Hub we are conducting a short 3-question survey to better understand managing various strategies you might use when incidents of discrimination and/or harassment arise during a work term. Responses are low, so we need your support!

While we understand instances of discrimination are nuanced and often require addressing on a one-on-one basis we are hoping to generate some strategies that might be shared out as EDI resources for ACE WIL. Through this short anonymous survey, we hope to understand the processes you use/have used while navigating such incidents within your WIL work.

ACTION: Please click here to begin the survey. The survey will
close on March 29, 2021.
