Samuel Dunkley – Camosun College – Bachelor of Sport and Fitness Leadership

Born in Vancouver and raised in Squamish, BC; sport and recreation became passions at a young age. Over the past ten months, Sam had gained great experiences completing two WIL experiences; one as an Operations Intern, working for the organizing committee of the 2018 World Rowing Coastal Championships, and one with Hockey Canada and the 2019 World Junior Hockey Championship as a Marketing Intern.

Sam volunteers as much as he can within his community, including most recently with the Tour de Victoria, Berwick Royal Oak Retirement Home, BC Firefighters Curling Championship and Victoria Wheelchair Sports. What stands Sam out from many students is his charisma. Sam has a personality that engages and creates a level of community with whomever he interacts with. His passion for the  ‘game’ of sports coupled with his humility and willingness to  learn from every experience he faces will ensure him tremendous success in his future.
