The focus of this project was to establish a Work Integrated Learning Division at Coast Mountain College. There have been instances of WIL occurring at CMTN, but the formation of WILD has presented the opportunity to create an awareness of WIL throughout the CMTN community and the region it serves.

Project goals for WILD included:
•    extend work-integrated learning (WIL) opportunities to students using the platform Riipen
•    recruit faculty to participate in utilizing WIL as part of their curriculum design;
•    engage community and industry partners in identifying projects for students to increase WIL opportunities in the north.
•    creation of a centralized hub where WIL practitioners could share resources and best practices

The project was successful in recruiting faculty participation to embed WIL in curriculum even given the challenging circumstances presented by the pandemic. Relationships were initiated and are in development with regional Chambers of Commerce.
