At a multi-campus institution with centralized services it can be difficult to reach the entirety of a college region and all of its campuses, and employers. Through this project regional coordinators were hired to facilitate the expansion of services to students, community and employers, increasing awareness of Co-op and WIL.

Identifying and working to remove barriers to students with accessibility needs that have self-selected not to participate in Co-op at Okanagan College, as well as supporting students already participating was the underpinning focus of this project.

This project aims to support British Columbia (BC)/ Yukon post-secondary institutions in the development, implementation, and evaluation of work-integrated learning (WIL) educational programs designed to prepare students prior to entering their workplace or practice setting.

The Job Development Initiative involved conducting a job development plan targeting specific Camosun programs and related industries, training employment facilitators and developing an industry engagement toolkit to support WIL practitioners in making regular, timely connections with business and industry in order to build a plethora of WIL opportunities.

This project provides an in-depth analysis of the data and feedback practices of ACE-WIL BC/Yukon post-secondary institutions across the lower mainland. The analysis shows that several approaches are used to obtain data about various stakeholders and practices regarding Work-Integrated Learning.

The main goals of this project are to: celebrate student success, engage with members, and promote hiring WIL students to employers. The project generated interview videos with the winning students and their employers, as well as an inventory of all the story submissions.
