The Medical Radiography Technology program is a straight 24-month program that alternates between classroom/lab terms with three clinical/hospital placement terms. Students learn theory in the classroom, practice skills in lab, and apply those skills on real patients while in their clinical placements. By the end of the program, students are required to demonstrate their proficiency on a range of patient acuity levels on all general x-ray and specialized radiographic imaging procedures. Graduates of the program are eligible to write the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) national certification exam which qualifies them to work anywhere in Canada.
After successful completion of the program, students are eligible for employment in August each summer. Please use the links below if you have any questions about the Medical Radiography Technology program.
