Thompson Rivers University (TRU) provides traditional academics, trades, certificates, and graduate degrees with 140 on-campus programs and 60 Open Learning programs to choose from. Our students apply what they learn in co-op work terms, study abroad, undergraduate research, field schools and practicums, service learning and other opportunities – with guidance and mentorship from faculty.
The Co-op program at TRU provides students with a great way to learn valuable career skills and an opportunity to test-drive a wide variety of career options. Students enter co-ops at various points in their education depending on program requirements, and alternate study terms with paid, monitored work-terms in a professional industry, non-profit, private business, and public sector organizations.
