This January, the BC Chamber of Commerce and ACE-WIL launched Talent Forward, a program that seeks to raise awareness in the BC business community about the value of bringing work-integrated learning and co-op students onboard. This program is funded through the Ministry of Advanced Education, Training, and Skills.

Talent Forward helps businesses find the right student talent for their business in the following ways:

  • Free One-to-One Consulting: Businesses can talk to a BC Chamber advisor to learn which student talent programs across BC would best fit their business needs. The advisor will connect businesses directly to WIL and co-op representatives, helping post-secondary schools expand their network and build relationships within their local business communities.
  • Webinars: Talent Forward will be hosting several webinars within local Chambers across BC. Businesses will also be able to access on-demand webinars on working with student talent and funding options through the Talent Forward webpage.
  • Resources: Businesses can download helpful resources on funding, hiring, onboarding, and managing student talent HERE.

This program is a free benefit to businesses in BC. For more information, contact Talent Forward Project Manager, Kristin Vandegriend, at kvandegriend@bcchamber.org
