Member Communication

The Member Communication Committee develops clear communication strategies that foster a sense of community, openness, and collegiality within the Association.

Core Mandate

  • To facilitate the communication of information between ACE-WIL and its members
  • To foster engagement and interaction among ACE-WIL members
  • To manage and to apply design standards across ACE-WIL communication media
  • To manage the ACE-WIL website

Meeting Dates

Meetings will be convened monthly using Google Hangouts. Additional smaller meetings with committee subgroups may be required.

What have we been working on?

Activities Report for 2017-2018
● Recruited new co-chairs and team members to committee
● Collected previous ACE member communication files
● Created training documents on Mailchimp and website for team
● Updated website, including: Board Member pages, added ACCE page and matrix, added BCIC testimonials on Employer page, and added previous awards winners on website
● Developed blog stories on Tech BC grant recipients
● Provided update on ACE activities to members through bi-monthly E-news
● Advertise job postings for members and announcements as they come in
● Reviewed all submissions to ACE job portal for accuracy and completeness

Top Priorities for 2018 – 2019
● Work with website development company to implement improvements to website
● Implement brand standards on website and other communication
● Training on website for team members
● Hire technical support for website maintenance and improvements
● Increase contributions to blogs from general members and employers
● Continue to create content for the following series: Success Stories, Co-op Wisdom Series, Where are they now?
● Develop content for general interest blog stories
