President's Message

Happy September ACE-WIL members! September sure looks different than it has in years past, but it’s certainly as busy as it always has been! Just as you do on your (virtual) campuses, we have a lot going on with ACE-WIL this term.

To kick off the school year, we have again partnered with BC Campus to deliver a 1-hour virtual Town Hall on September 29th, from 12-1. More details and registration available at https://bccampus.ca/event/ace-wil-town-hall-lets-connect/

Most of our projects funded under the provincial WIL initiative are well underway. Several of these are requesting assistance in either providing information through a survey, or requesting information from your other stakeholder groups, such as employers or community partners. Helping us to extend the reach of these surveys is imperative to the success of these projects, so please help us where you are able.

ACE-WIL is welcoming a new co-op student this term! Hannah Ahluwalia is a sociology student at University of Victoria. We are excited to bring Hannah on board, and you may be hearing from her in the coming months.

Best of luck as you kick off this unusual Fall semester, and as always, my sincere thanks for all of the work you do to support your students, community partners, and each other.

Warm regards,
Jennie
