Following the WILful Together Conference in May 2024, a post-event survey was distributed to conference participants. ACE-WIL members have highlighted interest in future PD events focused on the following:
  • Sharing best practices of how to use GenAI in our day-to-day work supporting WIL, and
  • Emerging WIL risks and developing best practices, such as fake job postings and application processes; sexualized violence; international students & co-op work permits in short-term placements, and work safe insurance.
The ACE-WIL Professional Development (PD) team greatly values your input in helping guide our yearly PD events. Thank you for completing the survey!

International Journal of Work-Integrated Learning: Expressions of Interest

While literature on student voice in WIL exists, with some focus on program design and implementation from institutional perspectives, the vital student voice is overlooked too often.

In recognition of the need to understand and prioritize students' perspectives in the discourse of quality WIL, the International Journal of Work-Integrated Learning (IJWIL) invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) for a forthcoming Special Issue in IJWIL, titled "Student Voice in WIL".

The types of papers accepted will include:
  • Reports on original research,
  • Scholarly discussion/positioning papers, and
  • Detailed case studies of novel good practice with an emphasis on including student voice.
Visit ijwil.org for details. To submit your EOI, complete this form by October 4, 2024.
