President's Message

Greetings ACE-WIL Membership,

Happy new year, everyone! I hope you all had a joyous and relaxing holiday break and have come back feeling refreshed. I recognize that for some of us, the holidays may have been trying due to travel disruption, illness, or other influences. If so, I hope that 2023 brings you joy and the rest you need.

For me, the new year always brings a sense of exciting and new possibilities, and I know this is the case for ACE-WIL as well. We've just finished our January board meetings. I'm looking forward to putting in motion the plans we have to continue the work of the association. I am also eager to host our in-person PD session this May and continue planning for our conference next year. Our PD Committee and Conference Committee have been hard at work, and we're looking forward to sharing more details with all of you soon.

If you can believe it, your ACE-WIL Board is also already preparing for the upcoming 2023 AGM and board nominations happening this coming May. Be on the lookout for more information on how you can learn about these positions as well as other ways you can get involved with our association in an e-blast later this month.

My best wishes for a happy and healthy 2023!

-Anna

NEW! Social Media volunteer opportunity

ACE-WIL Communication's Committee is seeking to fill a Social Media Coordinator role.

Our main channel is LinkedIn, with some Facebook activity, both are fed by our YouTube account. The person in the role will create short posts to highlight existing story opportunities (funding opportunities, events, annual awards, etc), create new industry connections, etc. Time commitment is fairly minimal of approximately an hour per week (4-5 hours per month).

Interested? Please email communications@acewilbc.ca or reach out to co-chairs Sarah Gibson and Natasha Dilay to ask questions about the role and the Communications Committee.
