The IMPACT 2020: WIL Student Story Showcase is well underway. Currently we only have 6 submissions and all the students are from the same institution! Your students deserve a chance to win $250, too!

Here is an example of a simple 150 word story that we are looking for, written by one of ACE-WIL's co-op students:

“In my current co-op job as Project and Administrative Assistant at ACE-WIL, I helped the organization implement a better file organization and collaboration tool- Google Drive. Due to ACE-WIL being an organization with members from across BC, it seemed essential to have a way to easily collaborate on and share project documents. I created a how-to use google docs document, created a how-to video, and consistently shared all meeting minutes and project materials on Google Drive to help members acclimate to its use. The result was that more members are now using Google Drive to share project documents and in turn the organization will be able to function better long term.”

Students, WIL coordinators/faculty and employers can submit a story like the one above and enter the student in the running for a $250 award. Stories must be about students that completed a WIL placement in 2020.

Deadline for story submissions is February 28th, 2021

What will the stories be used for?

The stories will be used for educating employers on the value that WIL students bring and their unique abilities to help organizations innovate.
